Biography
I was born and live in Saint-
Petersburg, Russia. It is a
very beautiful city located
on the Neva River. Saint-
Petersburg is Russia's
second largest city after
Moscow. It is Russia's
political and cultural centre
and is sometimes referred
to in Russia as the ‘Northern
Capital.’ It has also been
called ‘the Venice of the
north’.
I am a graduate student and
study at the Herzen University Faculty of Information Technology. Soon I will
be an engineer of information systems. Right now I'm a freelance
programmer.
I have two primary hobbies: playing the piano and drawing. I love drawing
although I don't have an art education. So I spend a lot of time doing realistic
illustration. I started drawing with a pencil but now I use a computer. Maybe
some day I'll take some courses in drawing to improve my technique.
In late autumn 2008, I started creating logos with transparent backgrounds
for the web. I created them in 3D and raster applications. It was a good way
to get experience in computer graphics. I had heard about vector graphics
programs but I had never tried them.
Then I decided to try vector graphics. I wanted find vector program where I
could quickly create a logo from scratch. I looked at a list of popular vector
editors and tried each one. But the first time I used Xara Xtreme, I loved it in
just a first minutes. It very fast with a simple interface that let me
concentrate on drawing. Now, when I need do a vector illustration, Xara
Xtreme is my program of choice.
