Living Room Sketch This living room is part of a complete furnished house I modeled in SketchUp. Before there was 3d modeling, for visualization, architects would have used hand sketches that were then coloured with markers or pencil crayons. This image is the result of an experiment to see if JPEGs exported from the model could be rendered in Xara to look like they were coloured by pencil crayons. Again, the Sketcher plug-in from LittleInkPot.co.uk was instrumental in achieving the effect. In using Xara's transparency tool to have the sketch pick up colour I had a pleasant discovery. By using Xara's fractal plasma transparency I was able to have the colourization show varying amounts of intensity. The result is like the smudging that occurs when using real pencil crayons.
