Phil Hill One of my boyhood heroes driving one of my favorite cars: World Champion Phil Hill in the 1961 Ferrari 156 "Sharknose" grand prix car. As with the Jack Brabham image, this was done for Phil's website. However, in this case, the image is adapted from my 1992 limited edition print, Monza 1961". This is not an easy car to render accurately because of the compound curves and the weird suspension geometry. Nothing lines up the way you'd think it would. As a result, there are many poorly rendered images of this car (and its driver!) out there in the automotive art market. As it happens, I've probably rendered Phil's visage more than that of any other driver. He has a very expressive face, which helps when it comes to communicating the mood or gesture through the image.
