Gary has asked me to expand on my mini tutorial in the Xara Forum to create the clear glass drinking tumbler shown left.

The thing to bear in mind with clear glass is that it has no colour. If you look at a window square on the clear glass tends to become invisible!

So what gives clear glass it's "visibility" is light falling upon it, creating highlights and shading.

Beyond this, shaped glass also creates refraction and reflections.
