4. Now lets create a more complex color mesh: Create two 200 X 30 pixel rectangles. Set the outline color to none, and apply a Linear fill, using these colors: For the first rectangle, hold down Ctrl while dragging the fill arrow from the upper to the lower end. Use the colors shown below: For the second rectangle, use a 3-step Linear fill. Double click on the fill path arrow to add a new color station. Now create a 50-step blend between the two rectangles. The result of blending these two rectangles is a complex color palette, which is very efficient, either for complex gradient fills, or for setting colors manually (only the shades we need). At any time you can hold down the Ctrl key and click on the either of the blend objects then you can adjust the fill settings, add or remove colors and view the changes in real time. TIP: if you're having trouble picking the object from which you've created your blend, choose the topmost (second) object, and press the Tab key. You can use a 3, 4, or any number of objects to create a multiple blend if you want - thus will give you different meshes and different blends. Just drag the Blend Tool from one object to the next, to the next, etc.
