6. Another thing that can be done with blends, is creating a complex linear gradient fill, like a rainbow. TIP: the number of steps also defines the density of lines, so in order to avoid your PC crashing, create a bitmap copy (right click > Create Bitmap Copy...) of the blended object and then delete the blend. Also, if you move your blended object over another you will find out it is partially transparent, thus you can create a texture out of blends. This way you can create shapes that can be used to add shading. Creating a bitmap copy makes it easy to apply transparency to the bitmap and thus
creating realistic shading. Because blends are created with numerous overlapping shapes, adding transparency to a blend only creates a muddle.
