18. Select the drawing and use the File… Export (Ctrl+Shift+E) command. Export the drawing in the desired format. [EDITORS NOTE: Xara’s EPS export is also very appropriate for this type of image] Other Hints Sometimes it is necessary to edit the image perspective in the drawing. Vertical lines on the original object may be angled in the drawing due to perspective. Generally for line art, it looks best when these lines are straight up and down on the page. Artwork created in Xara and exported as 350 dpi TIF images (with LZW compression), insert very nicely into Microsoft Word. For ideas for you own “artwork look”, examine line art styles used in various manuals and copy what you find appealing.
