New, Color Mixer from Brian Etherington. Brian has come up with a new way of mixing colors. Instead of the HSV (Hue, Saturation and Value) color model, Brian’s Color Mixer is based on the Hue (the primary colors on the rainbow bar), Neutral, and amount or lack of color, and Lighter and Darker.
Figure a. The basic Color Mixer screen. Figure b. The Nuetral slider reduces the amount of color until the absence of all color results in a perfect Nuetral gray value. Figures c and d. The Darker - Lighter slider makes the selected color lighter or darker. To bring a mixed color into Xara, reduce the size of the Xara window so you can see the Color Mixer as well. Use the Color Picker (the eye dropper) in Xara Color Editor (Ctrl e) to sample the color. Click here to download the Color Mixer from Brian’s website. |

Because of the size of the file, the link goes directly to Brian’s site. After you have downloaded XPal, use your browser’s Back button to return to this page. The new WebXealot Workbook #1 demonstrates how to use XPal to create a palette of gold and chrome colors.
