Press the red magnet icon on the Infobar to enable Snap to Objects (the magnet icon should be in the down button position). Using the Shape Editor Tool, and with the Make Line option selected on the Infobar, click a series of control points to create tops and sides. Click the last control point on top of the first control point to create a closed shape. (The shape will fill black when it is closed). TIP: If you switch to Outline view quality (Window > Quality > Outline) it will make it easier to see both shapes. Zooming in close will help as well. When you have created the sides, you can delete the back group of rectangles. Press Alt and click to select the next object down.
Using the Color Editor (Ctrl e) apply the three colors shown above to the appropriate sides.
