Using the Rectangle Tool (Shift F3) make 3 rectangles to the sizes and positions shown above left. With the rectangles selected, Arrange > Convert to Editable Shapes. Select the tall rectangle and drag a guideline from the left screen ruler (Ctrl L to display rulers) through the center of the rectangle. Switch to the Shape Editor Tool and click on the bottom edge of the rectangle on the guideline to add a control point. Drag the control point upward as shown or use the up arrow key on your keyboard.
Using the Shape Editor Tool, make the edits shown above left extending the left side of the top left rectangle. HOW TO: The rectangle must be selected with the Selector Tool (F2) before you can edit with the Shape Editor Tool. Click on one or more control points and drag or use the arrow keys to move the points. Drag the sides of the tall rectangle as shown above left to make a curved ribbon-loke shape. Drag the sides of the rectangles as shown above right. Drag the bottom portion of the tall rectangle to create a kind of S-curve. You can click on the control points and drag the Bezier handles for better control.
Click twice on the tall rectangle to enable Rotate/Skew mode. Drag the bottom center skew handle to the left. Clone the shape (Ctrl k) and drag the bottom skew handle to the right as shown above right.
Clone the left bow shape and press the Flip Vertically icon on the Infobar. Send the shape to the back (shown in red). Ctrl B. You may need to move the shape slightly so it aligns with the top shape. Clone this shape and flip horizontally, move it to the right and send it to the back.
