For this next step, we will use Sean Sedwards' Spherical Mould plug-in to create a fisheye lens effect. (Click here to download a free version). You might need to install a file MSVCRT10.dll which you can download here. This file needs to be added to your Windows > System directory if it is not already there. Check Xara Help > Plug-ins > Installing if you need help installing the Mould plug-in filter. Right click on the bitmap copy you just created. From the fly out menu, select Bitmap Effects and Plug-ins... Then Mould > Spherical Mould. Set the Mapping slider to 200 and the Distortion slider to 100 and press OK.
Using the Ellipse Tool, hold down the Ctrl key and drag a 380 pixel circle. (Remember you can drag any size circle then change the size on the Infobar). Select any of the chrome filled objects on last month's image and copy the fill to the clipboard (Ctrl c). Select the 380 pixel circle and Edit > Paste Attributes (or press Shift Ctrl a). Select the circle with the Fill Tool (F5) and modify the fill path arrows so the fill matches the fisheye bitmap. (Add a bit of transparency to the circle so you can see through. When you have matched the fill, set the transparency to none). NOTE: I have cut the circle in half so you can see the how the fill horizon matches the fisheye photograph.
