A Glass of Beer at the Café Xara James McCluer (JamesMC from the TalkGraphics Conferences) posted a challenge in the Xara Gallery Conference a few months ago to create a vector illustration of a transparent glass of beer. After 10 years doing monthly tutorials, I am always looking for something to do next, so the challenge came at a good time. This is not an easy tutorial, 36 steps with many steps within each step. And I do not recommend this tutorial for new users. But you are welcome to prove me wrong. But it should be a challenge. I used about a dozen beer photos that I downloaded from a Google search for reference and for inspiration but in the end, the illustration is totally mine. This is an important point because it is never a good idea to copy someone's work (unless it is from a tutorial, and in this case you should never claim credit to the image unless you tell your viewers the image was created from a tutorial), to the point where the creator of the image can recognize the similarity. Because this is known as copyright infringement. The animation above was created with Xara Modules Page Flipper Effect which works really well to show how the image comes together. Xara makes this site possible so it would be nice if you just went to the page and had a look see. Thanks. A Word from Our Sponsor:Xara makes several graphics products and all of them are fun and easy to use. And Xara makes this site possible so it would be nice if you just went to these pages and had a look see. Thanks. You are probably aware of Xara Xtreme (or else why would you be on this tutorial page?). Here are some other products made by Xara and links to the Xara.com Website.
