Reduce the size of the bubble to about 10 pixels. Drag and duplicate the bubbles (drag and click the right mouse button to drop a duplicate) and randomly space the bubbles over the foam on the the side of the glass. Vary the size so that each bubble is a little different from the others. Edit a bubble so that the bottom of both circles is moved up as shown above left. Convert the group to editable shapes, ungroup, select the bottom control points and move them upwards, then group the two shapes again. Randomly place these bubbles on top of the head and vary their sizes and spacing.
This next step came to me during the night while I was supposed to be sleeping and unlike most brilliant ideas that come in the night, this one actually was pretty cool! Clone the top of the glass and the bottom of the glass shapes. Arrange > Combine Shapes > Add Shapes (Ctrl 1). Select the combined shape with the Contour Tool (Ctrl F7) and drag in towards the center to apply an Inner Contour. Change the number of Contour Steps on the Infobar to 1 and press Enter to apply the change. You should have two shapes like those shown above right. Arrange > Convert to Editable Shapes and Arrange > Ungroup.
Open the Clipart Gallery (Shift F10). Select the Cafe image from the Photographs 2 folder and press Import (or simply drag the image onto the page). Delete the image. A copy is automatically placed in the Bitmap Gallery.
Select both shapes and open the Bitmap Gallery (F11). Select the Cafe bitmap and press Fill. This applies the bitmap to both shapes. Switch to the Fill Tool (F5). Select the larger shape and adjust the fill path arrows as shown above left. This will scrunch up the image. Select the smaller shape and adjust the fill path arrows as shown above right.
Using the Blend Tool (F7) click on the larger shape and drag to the smaller shape. Increase the number of Blend Steps to 50 and press Enter to apply the change. Right click on the blend and from the fly out menu, select Create Bitmap Copy... Use the default Color Depth setting True Color + Alpha. Press Create . (You can delete the blend). Before you go to the next page, how do you think we will use this bitmap?
