Create a new ellipse. Apply an Elliptical fill using the 2 colors shown. From the Fill Tiling drop down list select Repeating. Hold down the Shift key and drag the right fill path arrow control handle towards the center until the fill looks the same as shown above. Center the ellipse over the bottom of the glass. Select the ellipse with the Transparency Tool (F6). Click on the bottom of the ellipse, hold down the Ctrl key (to constrain the direction) and drag up and a short distance past the top of the ellipse.
Make a duplicate of the last ellipse (Ctrl d). Change the colors as shown and Shift drag the control point outward to the right. Center this ellipse over the bottom of the golden yellow portion of the shape. Apply a Linear transparency.
Duplicate the bottom shape. Add an outline and set the fill to none. Change the outline Width to 1pt. Change the outline color to RGB 150, 100, 0. With the shape selected, switch to the Shape Editor Tool. Break at Point for the top and add points and then Break at Points at the narrow portion of the bottom section as shown. Save your work and take a short break.
