Apply a fill to the shadow part of the running down the side of the glass foam (top right). Apply 3 pixels of feathering using the Adjust Size of Feather Region slider. Apply a Linear, Mix transparency to the bottom part of the solid shape as indicated above. Apply a Linear transparency to the large rectangular highlight. Click on the top left control handle and change the starting transparency amount to 20%. Change the end transparency setting to 80%. With the highlight selected, use the Shape Editor Tool to round the bottom of the large highlight a small amount.
Select the beer/glass fill with the Fill Tool (F5). Hold down the Ctrl key and drag the left fill path control handle outward until the fill is more consistent with the ellipse at the bottom of the beer.
Draw a circle to the size shown and apply a 2-color Circular fill. Drag the center of the fill down as shown in the second circle and and apply a Profile 2 preset. Select the circle with the Transparency Tool (F6). From the drop down list of Transparency Shapes, select Circular. Change the start and end transparency settings as shown.
Create a slightly smaller circle. Apply a white and pale yellow Linear fill. From the Fill Effect drop down list, select Alt Rainbow. Center the two circles. Select the Transparency Tool (F6). Click on the smaller circle to select it then drag downward from the top to apply a Linear transparency. Click the Profile arrow on the Infobar and apply a Profile 2 preset. Group the two circles.
Before we add the bubbles to the foam we need to make a few additions and adjustments. As I work on an illustration I frequently see things that need reworking or tweaking. This is such a case. Select the shadow shape under the head (the foam) and move it up about 8 pixels. Move the ellipse at the bottom of the beer down about 6 pixels. Create a new ellipse 116 x 48 pixels and apply a pale lavender fill. Add a small amount of feathering and move the circle to the bottom of the glass as shown. Apply a Linear, Mix transparency. Save your work and take a short break. We are almost done.
