Select the black rectangle. Press the Lock Aspect Ratio (lock) icon on the Infobar so it is in the raised position (non-proportional scaling). Clone the rectangle (Ctrl k). In the Width % text entry box, change 100 to 20 and press Enter. You should have a tall thin rectangle that is 20% the width of the rectangle. (I have colored the rectangle gray so you can see it).
Open the Fill Gallery (press the small pouring paint can icon on the top right area of the Infobar). Select the Horticultural Fills folder. Select the tall thin rectangle, then select the Hedgerow 1 fill and press Fill to apply the fill to the rectangle as shown on the left. This will be our repeating Colorfield panel in which GP PopOut will hide the image. The more random and granular the image, such as the Hedgerow fill, the easier it will be to create the hidden image. Most of the smaller pattern images found in this folder will work very well for this purpose. NOTE TO NEW USERS: If you go to the Fill Gallery and there is nothing there, here is what you need to do. Put the Xara X CD in your CD drive. In the Fill Gallery, press Disc Fills... Xara will attempt to locate your CD drive and the Xara X CD. If it cannot find it, browse to the CD drive. Locate the Fills folder. Double click on the Fills folder and press Add. Xara will ask if it can create an index for the images. Indicate that this is OK with you and press OK or whatever the option is to create the index. Xara will create folders and thumbnail images for all the fills. The actual fill images are on the CD and to retrieve them the CD must be in your CD drive.
