For this next step, we will be using Sean Sedwards' Spherical Mould plug-in filter which you can download here. There is information on the download page to instruct you on how to install the plug-in filter. Select the bitmap then select Utilities > Bitmap Effects and Plug-ins.... Select Mould > Spherical Mould from the list of plug-in filters to open the Spherical Mould dialog (shown above). Move the Mapping slider to the center (128) and the Distortion slider to 64. Press OK. NOTE: If you have installed the Spherical Mould plug-in but do not see it in the drop down list, right click on an empty section of the page and select Page Options... In the Plug-ins tabbed section Select New... Browse to the Xara Plugins folder (if you did a conventional installation it will be C:\ProgramFiles\Xara X\plugins) When you have located the plugins folder press Add . The filter should now appear in the list.
Create a 315 pixel diameter circle. Center the circle over the bitmap. Select both and Arrange > Combine Shapes... Intersect Shapes. The gives a fisheye lens appearance to the image. Save your work and take a short break.
