Select the new combined shape and copy it to the clipboard (Ctrl c or Edit > Copy).

Select the shape on the right and and Edit > Paste Attributes. This is how you transfer properties from one object to another object. Select this shape with the Fill Tool and adjust the fill path arrows as shown.

Select all the dark shapes and group them.

Question? Why did we not just add the shape on the right when we did the Add Shapes operation? Because then we would not be able to have a different fill on the right side. Though in retrospect, we probably could have done that.

Select the top shape with the Transparency Tool (F6). From the drop down list of Transparency Shapes on the Infobar, select Fractal Plasma. (The Transparency Shapes have the same names as the Fill Types and produce similar results.

Adjust the fill path arrows. Click the Profile arrow icon and adjust the sliders as shown.

Save your drawing and take a short break.
