OK, Mr. Cleversides over there in Leeds said, select the grouped frame and rope, and the shadow and Arrange > Apply ClipView. And he is correct! The transparent shadow is now masked inside the rope and frame.

And for all intents and purposes, you are done.

Admittedly the perspective is a bit dodgey. But if you have gotten this far, you can go back and redo the exercise and make the necessary changes. But all in all, I think there are some good moves here.

And this is my attempt to place the well in context. Because the top of the well tube is so open, the horizon needs to be rather high. On the other hand, having the top of the stone well so open, lets me add a bit of water. I also added something of a handle on the left side.
