Zoom in close to the two new rectangles. Select the left rectangle, click the right middle Set Origin Position icon on the Infobar. In the Skew Angle of Selection text entry box, enter -7 and press Enter . For the right rectangle, click the left center button and enter 3 and press Enter. Group the two rectangles. (This is the only way to vertically skew a selection a precise amount). Clone the rectangles and press the Flip Horizontally icon in the Infobar. Position the 2 groups under the top as shown. Bring the top elements to the front (Ctrl f).
The next step will involve the 2 ellipses shown above with the red outlines. These will be used to make the candle.
Draw a rectangle that passes through the vertical center of each ellipse. Select the bottom ellipse and the rectangle and Combine Shapes > Add Shapes (Ctrl 1). Select the top ellipse and bring to front (Ctrl f).
