Clone the cup shape (Ctrl k). Modify the fill colors as shown. Select the bottom curved line and bring it to the front (Ctrl f).

Select the line and the cloned cup shape and Arrange > Combine Shapes... Slice Shapes. This cuts the shape into two parts. Delete the bottom part.

Select the top shape (pale orange) and apply 3 pixels feathering to soften the edges. The Change Size of Feather Region slider is in the upper right area of the Infobar.

Hold down the Shift key and click on the two front cup shapes. Press Ctrl b to send the two shapes to the back (or Arrange > Put to Back).
