Apply a 3-color Elliptical fill using the three colors shown. To add the third color, double click on the bottom fill path arrow to add an additional control point. This new control point can be moved along the fill path as desired.
Bring the rim to the front (Ctrl f). Select the new reflection shape with the Transparency Tool and drag from the center of the shape to just beyond the center of the cup to apply a Linear transparency. This softens and blends the edge of the reflection and makes the reflection more subtle.
With the Shape Editor Tool, draw a long spiked triangle shape which will be a reflection in the dark side of the cup. Drag the sides into curves to match the curve of the cup. Apply a Circular fill.
