Center the joined rim shape on top of the other ellipses. Using the Shape Editor Tool, make an inverted J-shape with three lines. Use the Shape Editor Tool to drag the sides into a reverse C-shape as shown above. Change the line Width to 22pt (key 22 into the Width text entry box and press Enter to apply the change). Open the Line Gallery (the arrow and dashed line icon on the upper right area of the Infobar) and from the Set Line Cap drop down list, select Round Cap to round the ends of the lines. With the line selected, from the Arrange menu, select Convert Line to Shape.
Clone the cup shape (Ctrl k) which places a duplicate in front of the handle. Hold down the Shift key and click on the cloned cup shape and the handle to select both. From the Arrange menu, select Combine Shapes... Subtract Shapes. The clone disappears along with the sections of the handle indicated with the dashed lines. (I've added gray colors to show the different objects).
Select the coffee shape with the Fill Tool. Click on the top of the shape and holding down the Ctrl key, drag to the bottom of the shape to create a Linear Fill. Open the Color Editor (Ctrl e ). With the Fill Tool, click on the small square at the top of the arrow and change the color to the RGB color shown. Click the other control handle and change that color to the darker brown. Select the cup shape with the Fill Tool. From the drop down list of Fill Types on the Infobar, select Elliptical. Drag the center of the fill path up and left as shown. Click the control point where the two fill path arrows meet and change the color to the bright orange. Click either of the two outside control points and change the color to the deep orange.
Open the Color Editor (Ctrl e or click the tiny color wheel icon to the left of the screen palette). Select RGB Color Model from the drop down list of Color Models. Enter the values shown in the previous illustration in the three text entry windows. If the color indicated is RGB 101, 51, 153, for example, enter 101 in the first text entry box, enter 51 in the second, and enter 153 in the last text entry box. To edit an outline color, select Current Line Color from the drop down list.
