Select the 2 parts of the rectangular shape, click twice to enable rotate/skew mode, drag the Center of Rotation to the intersection of the 2 guidelines, and rotate both objects 45 degrees clockwise as shown above.

Select the 2 circles and Arrange > Join Shapes. This creates a doughnut or O-shape.

Select all 4 shapes and make clones of all (Ctrl k).

Save your drawing and take a short break. Do not try to keep working because I can tell if you don't take a break and I will be cross with you.
