Make 2 clones of the O-shape (Ctrl c). Select the first O-shape with the Fill Tool (F5) and from the drop down list of Fill Types on the Infobar, select Circular. Drag the center of the fill upwards (you can also select the center control handle (the square at the start of the arrow) and use the arrow keys on your keyboard to move the center of the fill upward a few clicks). Drag the top fill handle at the end of the arrow downward to align with the top of the circle. Double click on the fill path arrow at the inside circle to add a new color. Apply the RGB colors shown above using the RGB Color Model in the Color Editor (Ctrl e). HELP: If you need help creating and applying gradient fills, see Types of Fills in Workbook 31. Select the other O-shape and apply the Circular fill shown above right. NOTE: If your color values in the Color Editor are in percent (%), you need to change your color values to 0-255 in Utilities > Page Options... Units > Color Units:
Center the 2 O-shape with the ring shown above on top. (You can use the Alignment menu in the Arrange menu to Vertically and Horizontally Align Centrally). Select the Transparency Tool (F6). Click on the top shape to select it. Click on the page about 1/3 of the way down from the top. Hold down the Ctrl key and drag down about another 1/3 to apply a Linear transparency. This blends the two shapes together and gives the O-shape a rounded innertube sort of appearance.
