Select the middle circle (show above in blue dashed outline), and the rectangular shape (remember to hold down the Shift key to select multiple objects). From the Arrange menu, select Combine Shapes > Slice Shapes or press Ctrl 4. Select and delete the top section. Repeat this last step with the smaller cloned circle and the rectangular shape. I have given the 2 sections a difference color fill to show they are now individual shapes.
Drag and snap 2 new guidelines to the right and bottom sides of the larger circle. Draw a 45 pixel square with the Rectangle Tool (Shift F3) at the intersection of the 2 new guidelines. Hold down the Ctrl key to constrain the rectangle to a square. (You can also enter the size in the Width and Height text entry boxes on the Infobar and press Enter to apply the change). Click twice on the square to enable rotate/skew mode. The small black squares, the bounding box handles, will change to arrows. Drag the Center of Rotation bulls eye to the intersection of the 2 guidelines in the center of the 2 circles. Drag the bottom right curved arrow anti-clockwise 45 degrees. TIP: You can also enter 45 in the Angle of Selection text entry box on the Infobar and press Enter to apply the rotation. Positive numbers rotate anti-clockwise and negative numbers rotate clockwise.
