Make two clones (Ctrl k) to the larger rounded rectangle. Move one of the clones down so that it is about the distance shown above.
Select the two clones and from the Arrange menu, select Combine Shapes... Add Shapes. This step combines the two cloned rectangles into one shape with a common outline.
With the combined shape selected, drag two vertical guidelines from the screen rulers (Ctrl L to display the screen rulers) that are tangent to the outer most part of the combined shape as shown. Select the Shape Editor Tool. Click on the outline at the points where the guidelines touch the shape to add four new control points (the white squares with the red outlines).
