Add the dark reflection shapes as shown above. And that completes the handle. Looks pretty darn convincing, don't you agree?
Since we made the handle larger, we need to do the same for the fork tines. Rotate the tines -90 degrees anti-clockwise. Increase the size 200% and flip the tines vertically by pressing the Flip Vertically icon. Ctrl click 2 times on the dark shape, which is ClipViewed inside the fork, to select inside the shape and to enable rotate/skew mode. Drag the bottom center double arrow control handle to the left as shown. Switch to the Transparency Tool (F6), click to the left of the shape, hold down the Ctrl key, and drag to the right as shown above to apply a Linear transparency. With the shape still selected, apply 2pix of feathering, to soften the reflection, using the Change Size of Feather Region slider at the top right side of the Infobar.
Select the dark edge shape on the tines of the fork then switch to the Shape Editor Tool (F4). Marquee select the control points shown above top and move them a few pixels to the right.
