In the XaraXone this month

Here is what is happening in the XaraXone this month. The October tutorial shows you how to build a cheeseburger. From the ground round up. Very tasty, I might add! Author Marius Gabriel premiers his delightful first children's book, Princess Smartypig in the Featured Artist Gallery. In the Guest Tutorial page you'll find: Sketching a woman's face by the incredible Xara artist Vladimyr Savvateew. And there is something new again this month in the Free Xara Fills and Brushes page by the prolific Christine Farrelly to add to her Lace Brushes sets posted last month. Four new sets of number templates. Christine adds, "As you will see even Arial can come up with some interesting shapes." Also added this month are a set of Abalone Shell fills by Rich Hoffman.

I am accepting your contributions (TIPs, Brushes, Templates, stuff like that). If your site has Xara graphics and is not listed, send me your link and a brief description of how you have used Xara on your site.

Ands the Winners of the auto fx Gel Series plug-in filters are...

Those of you who remember the early days of the WebXealot will remember the monthly prize drawings with the winning entries being plucked from the hat by a variety of your editor's (that's me) household pets including Faustina and Carmina, chickens, (now retired in Petaluma, California), Wilbur and Orville, finches (on permanent retirement in finch heaven), plus Harry the extraordinary canary a the five cats, all happy and well and living in New Mexico. Those were wild and crazy California days.

Here in New Mexico we have a new cast a characters and the winners of the drawing were picked (one winner each) by Robin the Roadrunner, Terrible Tom the tarantula, and Jaques the jackrabbit. Sam the centipede was back-up but was not needed.

Xara 3D 5 is Still Available

Since I got my copy a few months ago I have been having a ball. The Flash export is unbelievable (unfortunately so are the file sizes—but for on-screen presentations or company Intranets, it's a killer feature). The Ripple and Wave animations are way cool as is the Screen Saver capability. I have already created an awesome screen saver for one of my clients and they have put them on all their computers. The hot new features include:

The Xara Tutorials, On-line Xara X Manual
and WebXealot CD is here!
