Parrish
I LOVE Maxfield Parrish and although this is not a Parrish image
(it's a print I picked up in the midwest USA years ago), it is very similar in it's approach. His technique breaks the image down into a semi posterized range of plates
with a limited colour palette and typically portrays idealized scenes bathed in an ethereal warm sun glow. I created the image in Xara and then saved it as a bitmap to put it through the bitmap trace tool.
This I did many times, tweaking the settings and readjusting the vector image until I finally got the look I wanted. It was painstaking and very lengthy but I learned a lot and found a new capability
within Xara for future use.
