The gentlemen were handdrawn and scanned, so the other pieces of the image also had to look handmade. The ground and bubbles were made in Xara X. The textures on the church tower were made in double layers with Fractal Clouds or Fractal Plasma fills. Transparencies were always applied to the top texture layers.

Double layers were also used on the gentlemen. Instead of transparencies feathering was used on the clothes.
